Secret Santa Donates Bicycles To Eastchester Community Coalition EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Thanks to a secret Santa, there will be shiny new bicycles under the tree this year for dozens of needy children in Eastchester, said officials from an community coalition. The bikes were donated by an anonymous benefactor whose reward comes from “knowing that the holidays will be brighter for youngsters in the community,” according to a spokesperson for the Westchester Community Opportunity Program - Eastchester Community Action Partnership (WestCOP-ECAP).

The YMCA is hosting a “Swim Cycle Stride” triathlon on Sunday, Jan. 10, which will consist of three events: swimming in its newly renovated pool, running, and bicycling. Calling All Sherlocks: Staatsburg Historic Site To Host 'Holiday Whodunit' STAATSBURG, N.Y. -- The Staatsburg State Historic Site will present a “Holiday Whodunit” from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27. During the one-hour, interactive “history mystery,” costumed interpreters roam the Beaux-Arts Mills Mansion to provide children with clues so they and their families can solve the “crime.” All children who submit a guess as to “whodunit” will be entered in a drawing for a prize awarded at the end of the season, when the solution is finally revealed. Cottle School’s annual winter concert a “huge success.” Cottle principal George Albano said the concert featured an orchestra directed by Lubima Shentov; a chorus directed by Keiha Kim; and a band directed by Richard Grasso.
