Chappaqua PTA Holding Forum On Proposed 2016-17 School Budget CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua PTA announced that it will hold a community forum on the Chappaqua Central School District's proposed 2016-17 budget. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at Scattered Books, a new bookstore that is located at 29 King St. The budget will be up for a public vote in May; the school board will approve a budget to be voted on by residents when it meets on April 13. Mount Kisco Church Holds 'Stations Of The Cross' Ceremony MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Throngs of people gathered in downtown Mount Kisco on Friday for a local church's reenactment of the last moments of Jesus' life and crucifixion. The reenactment is called "Stations Of The Cross" and is held every year on Good Friday. It is supported by St. Francis of Assisi Parish and produced by members of the area's Hispanic community. Pound Ridge Fire Department Holding Saturday Blood Drive POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge Fire Department announced that it is holding a blood drive on Saturday, March 26. The blood drive will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will take place at the firehouse, which is located at 80 Westchester Ave. Participants, the announcement notes, have to be at least 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds, although 16 year olds can also participate if they have parental permission. North Castle Library To Hold Showing Of 'An Everlasting Piece' ARMONK, N.Y. -- As part of its weekly film series with Valerie Franco, the North Castle Public Library announced that it is showing "An Everlasting Piece" on Friday, March 25. The 2000 comedy, the library notes, takes place in 1980s Northern Ireland and features a pair of wig salesmen with different political views. The movie, the library notes, was written by and features Barry McEvoy, whose father's experiences served as its inspiration. Barry Levinson served as the movie's director, the library adds. Chappaqua FD To Hold Annual Easter Egg Hunt CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Fire Department's annual Easter Egg hunt is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 27. It will start at 1 p.m. and will be held at Chappaqua Crossing, which can be access from Route 117, near the intersection with Roaring Brook Road intersection.
