Suspended Pound Ridge Library Director Switching Lawyers For Hearing POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Pound Ridge Library Director Marilyn Tinter's disciplinary hearing has been extended so she can retain a new attorney. News of Tinter's switch was announced at her latest meeting on Thursday morning. The hearing officer, Steven Kasarda, adjourned Tinter's case to June 17, with a possible second date of June 21. Thursday was supposed to have been the last date of the disciplinary hearing, according to Richard Zuckerman, who is the library's counsel. Somers High School Ptsa Holding Used-Clothing Drive SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers High School PTSA announced that it will hold a used-clothing drive on Saturday, June 4. The drive, which will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will be held at the parking lot between Somers Middle School and Somers Intermediate School. The PTSA requires that all clothing must be delivered in large, tied garbage bags. Proceeds from the clothing drive will be used to benefit Somers High School students. Evidence Shows Plumbing As Cause Of Pound Ridge Library's Lead Woes POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The high lead levels discovered in the Pound Ridge Library's tap water are believed to have originated from the plumbing system instead of the ground water, according to an update from Interim Library Director Mitch Freedman.
