Northern Westchester Man Elected BOL Chair: Replaces Predecessor Forced Out Amid Scandal The Westchester Board of Legislators has elected a new chairman after his predecessor resigned following a scandal involving a former county staffer trying to meet with who he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Fallen Telephone Pole, Low Wires Close Busy Road In Northern Westchester A fallen telephone pole is causing authorities to divert traffic from a busy main road in Northern Westchester. Car Crashes Into Brook, Leaks Fluid In South Windsor Authorities are cleaning up a brook in Hartford County after a car crashed into it and contaminated it with fluid. The incident happened in South Windsor on Tuesday, May 16, when a car veered off of Frazer Fir Road and into a small brook, according to the South Windsor Fire Department. The driver suffered minor injuries, fire officials said, adding that no one else was in the car. The fire department helped a wrecker service remove the car from the brook. Parkway Reopens After Truck Slams Into Overpass In Westchester The northbound lanes of a busy parkway in Westchester have reopened following a closure caused by a truck hitting an overpass.
