Mount Vernon, Yonkers Chambers Seek Hopefuls For Start-Up Contest
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Could your fledgling business use some cash to grow? If so, the chambers of commerce in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, and the Bronx have a contest for you, according to a report in lohud.
The chambers are seeking young businesses for a $$eed Tank Competition and the winner gets a cool $10,000 to make his or her entrepreneurial dreams come true, the report said.
According to lohud, the successful candidate will also win a spot in Westchester Community College's "Gateway to Entrepreneurship" program.

Bronxville Celebrates Auditorium¹s Grand Opening With Music, Accolades
BRONXVILLLE, N.Y. -- The Bronxville School celebrated the grand opening of its new auditorium with music and accolades, school officials said.The celebration featured performances by members of the Bronxville High School’s chorus, orchestra, and band.
The PTA, Bronxville School Foundation, and private donors who were instrumental in the renovation project’s success, were recognized from the stage at the Wednesday, Dec. 16, event.
“This auditorium has been sorely needed for decades,” said school board president Denise Tormey.

Bedford's Lemkau Named To Goldman Sachs Management Committee
BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Goldman Sachs has named Bedford resident Gregg Lemkau to its elite group of bankers, according to a report in Business Insider.
Lemkau will be joining the firm’s management committee, the report said.
Based in New York, Lemkau joined Goldman Sachs in 1992 and is currently co-head of global mergers and acquisitions, Business Insider reported.
Before that, he headed mergers and acquisitions for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, the report said.
