Elizabeth Man Killed In Newark Double Shooting: Police A 33-year-old Elizabeth man was fatally shot in Newark double shooting late Saturday evening, Aug. 2, authorities said. Man Killed After Being Struck By Train In Plainfield: Authorities A man was fatally struck by a train in Plainfield on Sunday, Aug. 3, authorities said. Fire Breaks Out At Harrison Wastewater Treatment Plant: Authorities A fire occurred at the Harrison Wastewater Treatment Plant Monday evening, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 7 p.m., first responders were on scene for the blaze in an office building of the plant at 35 Woodland Ave., Mayor Adam Wingate said.
