Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Salisbury Man Staying In Howard County Executed In Columbia Parking Lot (Developing) A Salisbury man was executed at close range in a Columbia parking lot late Tuesday night, and Howard County police are offering a cash reward to catch the killer. The deadly shooting unfolded around 10:35 p.m. on Aug. 19, when officers were called to a lot near Dove Sail Lane and Merriweather Drive, police said.
