Fairfield Hit & Run Sends One Man To The Hospital FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries Monday evening after he was struck by a car, police said. The man sustained a non-life-threatening head injury, cuts and a possible broken wrist in the 7:22 p.m. hit and run near Knapps Highway and Bullard Street, police said. Police are reviewing surveillance video that caught the crash, which may have involved a Jeep or SUV. No other details were available Tuesday morning.

Fairfield Police: Car, Bike Stolen Despite Locks FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police reported a car stolen from a dealership and a bike stolen from the Fairfield Metro train station. On Oct. 9, the management at Scap Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tunxis Hill Road said a customer’s blue 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee last seen around 1 p.m. on Oct. 7 was missing from its lot, police said. The vehicle, valued at $4,000, had been locked and the keys were in a toolbox inside the dealership. Bridgeport Man Arrested On Handful Of Charges When Stopped In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport man who gave an officer a fake name when he was pulled over on the Sherwood Island Connector Monday now faces several charges, police said. Around 9:45 p.m., a Westport officer noticed a blue Nissa Maxima with an expired license plate traveling on the connector. The driver identified himself by a fake name, but the officer was determined he was actually Zachary Archibald, 28, of Whitney Avenue, police said.
