Fairfield Hit & Run Sends One Man To The Hospital FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries Monday evening after he was struck by a car, police said. The man sustained a non-life-threatening head injury, cuts and a possible broken wrist in the 7:22 p.m. hit and run near Knapps Highway and Bullard Street, police said. Police are reviewing surveillance video that caught the crash, which may have involved a Jeep or SUV. No other details were available Tuesday morning.

The vehicle, valued at $4,000, had been locked and the keys were in a toolbox inside the dealership. Around 9:45 p.m., a Westport officer noticed a blue Nissa Maxima with an expired license plate traveling on the connector.
