Borges took the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity, which would have paid out the full amount over 20 years.  He said he plans to use the money to take his family on a vacation.  Borges bought the ticket at Cumberland Farms, 864 Stafford Road in Fall River. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Mass State Trooper Seriously Injured In Hit-Run Crash On I-91 In Chicopee Massachusetts State Police have arrested a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a trooper early Tuesday morning, June 10, leaving the officer fighting for their life.  The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. on I-90 near Exit 51 in Chicopee, Massachusetts State Police said. Waterbury School Bus With Students Involved In Crash A bus loaded with students crashed in Waterbury on Tuesday morning, June 10.  The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. in the area of 571 Highland Ave., as the bus was making its way to Rotella Magnet School, Waterbury police said. It's unclear what caused the crash or who is at fault, but police said none of the students on board were injured.
