$1M Lottery Jackpot: Fall River Man Has Big Plans For Major Payday A Fall River man who recently landed a $1 million lottery jackpot said he wants to share the winnings with his family.  Alberto Borges won the seven-figure payday playing the $10 scratch-off game “Bonus 100X." Borges took the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity, which would have paid out the full amount over 20 years.  He said he plans to use the money to take his family on a vacation.  Borges bought the ticket at Cumberland Farms, 864 Stafford Road in Fall River. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Mass State Trooper Seriously Injured In Hit-Run Crash On I-91 In Chicopee Massachusetts State Police have arrested a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a trooper early Tuesday morning, June 10, leaving the officer fighting for their life.  The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. on I-90 near Exit 51 in Chicopee, Massachusetts State Police said. The trooper was working a traffic stop when they were struck.  Paramedics rushed the trooper to Baystate Medical Center, a trauma hospital, for the serious injuries they suffered in the crash.  Authorities did not identify the trooper.  A report just after noon Tuesday said police had arrested someone in…

Waterbury School Bus With Students Involved In Crash A bus loaded with students crashed in Waterbury on Tuesday morning, June 10.  The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. in the area of 571 Highland Ave., as the bus was making its way to Rotella Magnet School, Waterbury police said. It's unclear what caused the crash or who is at fault, but police said none of the students on board were injured. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor wounds, and paramedics took them to an area hospital for treatment.  Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
