Maryland Man Sentenced In Violent Robbery Of Hyde Park Credit Union HYDE PARK, N.Y. – William McKinney, 22, of Fort Washington, Md., was sentenced on Monday to 23 years in state prison for the violent kidnapping and robbery at the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Hyde Park, N.Y. in October, 2014, poughkeepsiejournal.com reports. McKinney, and Victor Denny, also from Maryland, and others, kidnapped and beat a man and tried to blind him before using his car in the robbery, the article says. Orangeburg Kitten Still Trapped In Storm Drain ORANGEBURG, N.Y. — Rescue efforts Tuesday night to free a kitten trapped in a storm drain have so far been unsuccessful, News 12 reports. Maura Nolan and her co-worker Madg Bideiwy reported to police they heard a cat meowing somewhere on Dutch Hill Road, according the the article. Police found the cat beneath a 200-pound grate but it kept running the other way during rescue attempts. Crews will continue to free the feline using food. Westchester County Executive's Party Donates To Clarkstown Candidate CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. — Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino's Reform Party spent $96,000 on George Hoehmann's campaign for Clarkstown supervisor, lohud.com reports. Yorktown Man Pulled Over For Failure To Signal Charged With DWI YORKTOWN, N. Y. – Robert J. Perry, 58, of Yorktown Heights was charged with driving while intoxicated on Oct. 18, police said.
